1948 FRENCH SHORTWAVE RADIO
In 1948, Truman signs the Marshal plan to rebuild Europe, Gandhi begins his famous fast, Albert Camus publishes The Plague. You would have heard it all on this vintage radio. It shows the design influence of the jet age that was unfolding in the news it received. In fact it is still in working order in the internet age. Quite an evocative piece.
