1955 Mercedes-Benz Pickup Truck Reference# MB001 | |
In the 1930’s Mercedes-Benz introduced the 170 Model. After the war, from 1940 to 1955, the 170 was produced in various forms, from a two door sedan, four door sedan to a roadster and a rarely seen pickup truck. This is a 1955 170 S-D Pickup Truck. As far as we know, the only one in the United States. The engine and chassis number are appropriate. The car has been repainted, the chrome redone, a new bed laid in, the interior redone, new tires, the engine tuned, the window glass replaced, the brakes redone…in short, ready to drive in your next parade…and to be sure your neighbor won’t show up in one. Big headlights between big fenders, suicide doors and that old time Mercedes grill…what more can you ask! |
